Eduard Anatolyevich Pichugin

Eduard A. Pichugin, the general director of Lenfilm Studios.
He is a board member of the Union of Cinematographers in Russian Federation; President of "Kinoalliance", the National Association of the Cinema Professional Organizations; the board member of the Producers Guild of Russian Federation. He has been engaged in promoting movie presentations and building cinema theaters since 1999. He holds a degree as a Candidate of Economic Sciences, wrote and defended the thesis on “Cash Flow Management in the Cinema Industry” within the framework of his major – “Finance and Credit”. He is a founder of the federal movie theater chains "Kronverk Cinema" and "KINO CITY".

Based on data of the search system Поиск@Mail.Ru, James Cameron’s movie “Avatar” was the most popular film according to the number of requests and inquiries in one year.


According to rating results gathered from data on requests and inquiries on the search system Поиск@Mail.Ru, James Cameron’s movie “Avatar” won first prize in the category -– Most Requested Movie of the Year.


The official ceremony was attended by representatives of film and video distribution companies, producers, actors, and business men. Awards were distributed in thirty categories.


“Avatar” also walked away with the prize in the category – Champion in Film Distribution in CIS Countries – earning US$117.1 million. Prize winners in the category – Best Box Office Hit in CIS Countries” were: “Shrek: Forever After” (US$51.36 million), “Alice in Wonderland” (US$42.13 million), “”The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” (US$26.38 million), “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1” (US$25.76 million), “Clash of the Titans” (US$24.61 million), “How to Train Your Dragon” (US$23.49 million), “Rapunzel; : A Tangled Tale” (US$23.15 million), “Nasha RossiyaRussia:Yaitsa Sudby” (Our Russia: Eggs of Fate) (US$22.21 million), and “Mega Brain” (US$22.01 million).


The box- office champion in CIS countries among all the Hollywood producers turned out to be the 20th Century Fox Company (US$162.55 million). The Distributor of the Year award went to the Central Partnership Company, and its President Ruben Dishdishian won the award for Producer of the Year.
The Man of the Year award was presented to Roman Borisevich, producer of the movie “Kak Ya Provel Etim Letom” (How I Spent This Summer), which has also won several Russian and foreign awards.. The “Best Box Office Russian Actor” prize went to two actors starring in “Nasha RossiyaRussia” (Our Russia): Mikhail Galustian and Sergey Svetliakov.


The Best Box Office Hit of the Decade in Russia went to the New Year’s comedy movie “Ironiya Sudby: Prodolzheniye” (Twist of Fate: Continued). The producers, Konstantin Ernst and Aleksandr Maksimov received awards for this movie. A special prize in the category – Best Box Office Russian Animation Movie - went to “Belka i Strelka: Zvezdnye Sobaki” (Squirrel Belka and StrelkaArrowhead: Star Dogs).  The movie “Gainsbourg: Vie Héroique” (Volga) (Gainsbourg: A Hero’s Life) won the award from the chief editor of the magazine, “KinoBusiness Sevgodnia” (Cinema Industry Today).
